- 23 Miss India Finalist will contend for the Top 3 titles. The Finals will be held on March 24, 2013 in Mumbai.
- Over half the contestants are 20 or younger (six are 18, one is 19 and six are 20). Average age of 2013 Miss India Contestants is younger than in 2012.
- Two out of three Miss India 2013 Finalists is a Student (16 out of 23); of these 5 are Engineering students. 4 Finalist are Models, 2 are flight attendants. Miss India 2012 winner, Vanya Mishra, was an Engineering student.
- Most Miss India 2013 contenders are from non-Metro towns. Only 5 are from the Metros. 3 contestants are from Nagpur. 2 contestants each are from Mumbai, Lucknow, Patna, New Delhi and Hyderabad. One of the youngest contestants is from the Cantonment town of Lansdowne in Pauri Garhwal.

- Pond’s is the new sponsor of Femina Miss India 2013. The previous sponsor was Pantaloon.
- Blogging and Online Interaction, especially social media, is now a formal part of the Miss India 2013 contests. The Miss India contestant with the most online interactions on Itimes.com will win the title “Femina Miss Itimes Digital Diva” and Rs 1.0 lac. Most international pageant now has an internet based competition.
- The Top 3 winners of the Miss India Beauty Pageant represent India at Miss World 2013, Miss Earth 2013 and Miss International 2013. From 2013, the Times Group (who organizes the Miss India pageant) has been granted the rights to organize The Miss India Universe pageant. A separate Beauty Pageant will be conducted in June. The winner of that contest which will be India’ official representative to Miss Universe 2013.
- Many Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013 contestants have posted profile pictures in ethnic Indian clothes.

All Miss India 2013 contestants will have an active Itimes, Facebook and Twitter account. People from all over the world can interact with the contestant on their social media pages. The most active 2013 Miss India participant online will be crowned “Femina Miss Itimes Digital Diva”.
The general public can vote for the top 3 Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013 contestants that they feel will be the eventual winners. For those whose selection matches, or is close to, the final 3 winners, 3 cash prizes (Rs 1,00,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000) will be awarded.
