Events Before 2012 Miss India Final on 30 Mar
From March 22 to 29, 2012, winners of the 2012 Miss India sub contest (Miss Photogenic, Miss Fresh Face, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Legs, Miss Body Beautiful, etc) were announced in multiple events. Please refer to the list of Sub-Contest winners.
2012 Femina Miss India Show – Sequence of Events on March 30
1] Miss India Starts Finalist Introduction Introduction and Entertainment Program
- The 9 judges take their place. Sonam Kapoor, who is one of the judges, makes her entry with the Masakali track.
- The 20 Miss India contestants come on stage, the 2012 Femina Miss India Pageant will start off with an entertainment program for the audience.
- All 20 Miss India 2012 finalists arrive on the stage dressed in Pantaloon’s “Label Ra” collection. This collection is designed by Anirban and Rajesh.
- Next is a song and dance show by Ali Zafar. Her performs his song “Madhubala” with former Miss India winners Manasvi Mamgai and Neha Hinge.
2] Swimwear Round at 2012 Femina Miss India and Entertainment
- During Ali Zafar’s performance, all 20 contestants change into swimwear designed by Naresh and Shivan.
- All 20 Miss India finalist walk the ramp in their swimwear.
3] Performances by Bollywood Stars and Ramp Walk by Contestants
- Before the Top 10 Miss India finalists are announced, TV actors Kapil Sharma and Ali Asgar entertain the audience.
- Reteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor put up a skit from their new film Kya Kool Hai Hum – 2.
- While the performance is going on, the 20 finalist change into stunning blue evening gowns designed by Raakesh Agarvwal.
- All 20 finalists walk the ramp in their gowns.
- The remaining Miss India sub-contest winners will be announced. Vidhi Bhardwaj is 2012 Miss Beauty for a Cause.
- Ipsita Pati received the maximum number of votes from the public, which means she gets a direct entry into the Top 10. Erica Fernandez got the second highest number of votes followed by Vanya Mishra.
- Next, all 20 finalist walk the ramp for the last time.

Performers at the Femina Miss India 2012 Show
As in previous Miss India pageants, famous actors and singers from Bollywood will perform for the audience and the contestants will be introduced and escorted on the stage by popular TV actors. For the 2012 Femina Miss India show on March 30, the performers are Ali Zafar, Mika Singh, Nargis Fakhri. TV actors who will play host and perform include Karan Wahi, Karan Tacker, Gurmeet Choudhary. Tushar Kapoor and Balaji Films will promote “Kya Cool Hain Hum – 2” at the event. Former Miss India winners Manasvi Mamgai and Neha Hinge will perform with Ali Zafar.
Last year’s Miss India winners, Kanishtha Dhankhar, Ankita Shorey, Hasleen Kaur, will present the crown to the 2012 Femina Miss India World, Miss India International, Miss India Earth.
Nargis Fakri at Femina Miss India 2012
Nargis made her acting debut in Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Nargis’ next big role is in Krrish 3. Nargis, who is an US citizen, is a successful model who is represented by Fords Model agency. Nargis will perform with Gurmeet Choudhary the song “Sajh Dhaj Ke” from Mausum.
Mika Singh at Femina Miss India 2012
Mika is a popular singer who sings in Hindi, Punjabi and Bengali. He is expected to sing his hit songs such as “Pungi” from Agent Vinod and songs from Hindi movies Jab We Met, Singh is King, Desi Boys, Bodyguard, Ready.
Ali Zafar at Femina Miss India 2012
Ali Zafar is a Pakistani actor, singer, music composer, song writer. Ali has acted in “Tere Bin Laden”, “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” and “London, Paris, New York”. He is expected to sing his hit songs such as London Paris New York, Madhubala, Love mein gum, Jhoom, Masty.
Karan Wahi at Femina Miss India 2012
Karan is a TV actor who performs the role of Rohan in the TV serial “Kuch Toh Log Kahenge”. His most successful role is the serial “Remix”.
Karan Tacker at Femina Miss India 2012
Karan Tacker is a TV actor and host who appears as Viren in the TV serial “Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai”. Karan is famous for playing the role of “Shantanu Khandelwal” in the Star One serial “Rang Badalti Odhani”.
Gurmeet Choudhary at Femina Miss India 2012
Gurmeet is a TV actor who plays the role of Yash in the TV serial “Punar Vivah”. He is also famous for playing the role of Ram in the 2008 TV version of Ramayan and Mann in “Geet- Hui Sabse Parayi”.

Grooming Training For Miss India 2012
All 20 final contestants of the 2012 Pantaloons Femina Miss India Pageant will undergo a month long grooming program at various picturesque locations.
- The 20 finalist travelled to Allepey in Kerala for the first leg of their grooming program. In Allepey the contestants stayed at the luxurious Carnoustie Beach Resort & Ayurveda Spa which has 40 beautiful villas.
- From beautiful Allepey, the 20 participants will spend a week at Mumbai’s Courtyard by Marriott.
- On Sunday, March 18, the 20 finalist will travel to Goa where they will stay at elegant boutique hotel “The Sol”. The training sessions will be held at the North Goa hotel “Primo Bom”. The contestants will unwind at Goa’s famous night club Tito’s.
- After Goa, the contestants will spend time at India’s newest hill station, Lavasa.
- The final leg of the training will be imparted in Mumbai where the girls will once again stay at Courtyard by Marriott.
Experts Imparting Grooming Training to Miss India 2012 Contestants
- Marc Robinson: He is the creative director of the 2012 Pantaloons Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant.
- Sabira Merchant: Diction expert will train the contestants in public speaking, pronunciation and diction. Sabira has trained previous Miss Universe winner Lara Dutta and Miss World’s Priyanka Chopra and Diana Hayden.
- Chhaya Momaya: Image consultant who will train the contestants on etiquette. The girls will be taught table manners, social interaction, social etiquette.
- Dabboo Ratnani: Celebrity photographer will create portfolios for all the girls. He was busy taking photos of the contestants on the beaches.
- Amit Hansraj: Official stylist for the pageant.
- Clint Fernandes: He is the hair & makeup artist for the final event on March 30.
- Amanender Singhpoora: Hair artist who will help the girls with their hair styling during the month long training.
- Kapila Khapra: She is a makeup artist who will train the girls on the art of applying makeup.
- Samir Purohit: Fitness expert who will create exercise regime for each contestant.
- Dr Manoj Khanna: Aesthetic grooming and cosmetology expert
- Dr Jamuna Pai: Skincare specialist who will help the girls achieve flawless skin.
- Dr Sandesh Mayekar: He is a smile designer who uses non-invasive cosmetic dentistry and facial exercises to produce a stunning smile.
- Shivan and Narresh: Swimwear designers
- Raakesh Agarvwal: He will design the evening gowns for the final on March 30.
- Alesia Raut: She will train the contestants on how to walk the ramp with confidence and the correct posture.
Selection of Final 20 Contestants for 2012 Miss India
The final 20 contestants for the 49th Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant, 2012, were selected by a panel of judges comprising pageant Creative Director Marc Robinson, Bennett Coleman MD Vineet Jain and Miss Teen World Amy Jackson.
TV Partner of Femina Miss India 2012
Zoom TV is the TV partner of the 2012 Pantaloons Femina Miss India Pageant. Both Femina and Zoom TV are part of the Bennett, Coleman group.
Starting March 23, Zoom will show a reality series with the 20 Miss India finalist, called “Main Miss India”.

The final of the 2012 Pantaloons Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant will be held on March 30, 2012, starting at 6:30 pm onward. The actual event will start after 8:00 pm.
