The good news is that the cost of the pass for the 2012 Mumbai International Film Festival is only Rs 100 (Rs 50 for students) for all the 7 days. The process to get the pass is a little cumbersome and it can be obtained either at the Film Division office at Pedder Road (24-Dr.G.Deshmukh Marg) or at the venue (NCPA, Nariman Point, Mumbai) itself. One can also send a mail for the pass, but I would not recommend it. To get a pass, the following documents are required:
- 12 MIFF Registration form duly filled. The form can be downloaded from the MIFF website (click on the link) or from NCPA from Feb 3 onwards.
- 2 stamp size color photos
- ID proof (Electoral Cards, Passport, Driving Licence , PAN Card etc).
For further information on registration, contact Film division at 91-22-23510461 (extension 480). On the first day (Feb 3) forms will be available only uptil 1:00 am at NCPA. This is because the officials will be busy with the Opening function. The pass is valid for all 7 days.
